You don’t have to leave the resort to have fun

The Lodge at Port Arrowhead at Lake of the Ozarks is the perfect resort destination for both business and pleasure. And while there are myriad places to go have a good time outside our walls, you don’t have to leave the resort to have a space to relax and enjoy.

First, there are opportunities to have fun without even leaving your room. Catch the latest Lifetime movie on the high definition flat-screen TV with HD cable programming. Kick back with your laptop and make use of the in-room WiFi.

While you’re at it, enjoy a freshly brewed cup of joe with your coffee maker. And if you’re traveling with Lassie, give them some belly rubs in one of our pet-friendly rooms.

Second, you can get away from your room and go for a swim. Want to catch some rays? Hit the outside pool with its adjacent sun deck. Make sure to use your sunscreen, though. Even a polar bear can get a sunburn June.

Prefer to stay warm in the winter? The indoor pool is just as nice as its outside counterpart. Swim some laps, do some water aerobics, walk on your hands to impress your kids, then rest at one of the tables on the surrounding deck.

Third, you and your kids can get a good workout in. For you, we have a newly renovated fitness center with all the equipment you need to stave off the dreaded Traveling Twenty. (It’s like the Freshman Fifteen, but with vacations and getaways involved.)

For the kids, an amazing playground with slides, monkey bars, rocking riders, and a seesaw to help you get some squats in. Chase them around on the recycled rubber bedding to make sure that falls only need the magical Mommy power of “kiss it and make it better” for the owie to go away.

Whether you’re at the Lodge at Port Arrowhead for a wedding or business, a vacation or meeting of the board, you can have a fantastic time without ever going anywhere. Sure, there are dozens of things to do outside the Lodge, but you don’t have to leave the resort to have fun.
