When we at the Lodge at Port Arrowhead created a full-service lake-view restaurant, we made sure it came with live entertainment. For your lunch and dinner needs, Fat Polly’s Pub is the place to be at the Lake of the Ozarks.
There are more than 100 Lake of the Ozarks restaurants. Of course, we’re going to tell you Fat Polly’s is the best. Not just for the food, but also for the music. Gregory David Roberts said, “Food is music to the body, music is food to the heart.” Fat Polly’s Pub feeds both your body and your heart.
Now obviously, we can’t tell you all about the best restaurant in Lake of the Ozarks without talking a little bit about the menu. Our personal favorite selection is the half-pound Angus Fat Poly Burger, topped with the kitchen sink, dipped in house-made beer batter, and deep-fried til it’s golden brown. Our arteries may be saying, “I would do anything for love, but I won’t do that,” but our taste buds will “never forget the way [they] feel right now, oh, no.” If you’re more inclined to listen to your arteries, you could try something a little lighter, like a Southwest Chicken Chopped Salad, fish tacos, Philly rangoon, or the soup of the day, each of which is full of unique, tantalizing flavor, but less demanding on your caloric intake.
>But we’re only kinda here to talk about the food. We’re mostly really here to talk about the tunes. Fat Polly’s Pub couldn’t possibly make a claim to be the best restaurant in Lake of the Ozarks without having some of the best music playing. From a hot jazz-rock-pop duo that performs all over Missouri, to a band focusing on the music that makes you get up and shake it while you sing along, to an icon of 80’s hair rock, there’s a little something for everyone.
When you stay at the Lodge at Port Arrowhead, enjoy the lake view, eat good food, drink great drinks, and enjoy the music. But there’s no way we’re ever going to recommend that. As Frederick Nietzsche said, “Without music, life would be a mistake.” Without music, in our opinion, Fat Polly’s would still be the best restaurant in Lake of the Ozarks, but not as fun!
